What you will learn from this episode:
What 2021 brought me professionally
The unexpected surprises through my podcast and courses of 2021
How do we enter 2022?
I wanted to take this time to do a year-end recap because what a crazy year this has been!
I know some of you have experienced great loss, some of you have experienced great highs in your work, and some of you awful delays on your projects and everything in between.
Some of my highs were launching this podcast and sharing with all of you the tips and tricks and processes I go through every day in my work life.
While this podcast was building, I saw a need to build out a course. My signature course, Only Girl On The Jobsite, was built for homeowners with step-by-step guidelines on how to manage a project as I do, and so a homeowner can take control, become a team member and can manage their own project just like a professional does.
Designers started showing up, looking for tips and tricks and so we built out a designer addition of the course as well. And I am really proud to be supporting other designers in the construction side of our business!
Outside of the podcast and courses, my professional life was super fulfilling in 2021. I have an amazing group of clients. While I have had to disappoint all of them at some point this year due to supply chain issues outside my control, because I build strong transparent relationships with my clients (I went into my detail about that in Episode 53 which you can find here) we made it through this year finishing as strong as possible. Trust me, there were bumps, hang ups, delays, but we made it through without any anger or resentment for the process, or for me, or my teams. And that is a huge win for the year in my opinion!
Like you, I have also experienced loss in my personal family as well as extended, and so I also understand how this year has been gut wrenching for so many of you listening – and so am prepared to say good riddance to 2021 and not just Happy New Year!
So how do we enter 2022? How do we turn the page on this horrendous situation that we are still in?
I am focusing on what I can control.
Here’s what I can control:
Sharing new episodes with all of you!
Working with my clients.
Taking on new projects
