Featured on the Show:

Renovation Management for Interior Designers – Expanding your business with a lucrative service

What you will learn from this episode:

  • Why you shouldn’t rush the contract review

  • Prepare your home for your project

  • Creating a proper punch list

The world in which we live these days is lived at warped speeds. Everything has to be in the moment, less than a moment, done yesterday, done last week.

What happens as a result is mistakes get made that can prove costly as well as blow up a project schedule.

Today I want to talk about why rushing on a construction project causes issues and the three most common mistakes I’m seeing lately that are caused due to rushing.

These mistakes that are caused by rushing through decisions can be avoided whether you are a homeowner running a project or a designer running it.

My best guess as to why this happens is we are always in a rush!!

We’re in a rush to secure the contractors, we’re in a rush to secure the trades, we’re in a rush to get a project started. Rushing on a construction project more often than not causes issues. It’s really that simple.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing three big areas that I want people to slow down and take their time on in order to avoid having problems along the way.

These three areas alone will improve how you feel about the project in the end and everybody wants a smooth, happy ending. And this IS something you can achieve by slowing down and addressing these three areas more carefully.
