Add-on’s, renovations, and new construction homes can seem intimidating to take on. How do you even get started? How do you find and manage contractors? What surprises should you anticipate coming up? How long do these things take?

In this podcast, you will learn all that and so much more!

Why Women Are Perfect for Managing a Renovation Project

What you will learn from this episode:

  • Why women can be so successful at managing their home projects

  • Why knowledge is power

  • How to be the only girl on the jobsite

So many people have asked why I’m doing this podcast, and the answer is simple – I like helping people, particularly women.  This podcast is geared towards female homeowners wanting to run their own home renovation projects more professionally and successfully. I have spent my entire adult life hearing women tell me horror stories about their own projects and all the ways in which it went poorly.

Every time I hear a story I think Oh, if only they knew  _________.

Women are really very suited to manage their home renovation projects, if they only had the proper knowledge to do so. We run households, full time jobs, finances, multiple schedules, and more.

It is my mission with this podcast to give you that knowledge, and empower you so that you can take on your home projects feeling knowledgeable and confident.

So many women truly just don’t know how these projects are run, what to expect, and how to handle them. And in return, the contractors don’t know what the client knows or doesn’t know.

In today’s episode I’m going to be walking you through some examples of how it is being the only girl on the jobsite. This is even more important for you because they will actually be in your home. I want to help you know how to handle the situation, treat these men, and be respected in return.

With my knowledge I hope that you can react when you see issues coming before the project goes off the rails. I want you to help you be incredibly organized as running these projects requires you to be on top of moving parts so time losses would be minimized which therefore means money losses would be minimized too.

As always, thank you for listening and I look forward to our next time together.
